Rummy field
The playing field is divided into several logical zones:
- First zone (top): a deck of
cards
(face up) and a discard
pile (face down)
- Second zone (central):
playing zone for laying out combinations
- Third
zone (bottom zone):
Your
cards (face up) and timer for your move
- Side zones (right and left):
Opponents' avatars and
their cards (face down).
During your opponent's turn, a countdown timer appears next to his avatar.

Rules of the game
Before you can start winning money at rummy, you must first understand how to play rummy. Only with time and practice will you be able to become a skilled rummy player and win large financial awards.
-
The basic rule of playing rummy is to collect as many combinations as possible and get rid of all your cards. To do this, players are dealt cards from a deck, and their task is to collect sets of cards of the same value or suit.
-
The goal of the game is to be the first to collect all your cards in combination and place them on the table. Ultimately, the first player to get rid of all his cards wins.
-
The player starting the game must take the top card from the deck and put one of the cards in his hand in the “discard pile”. However, a card just taken from the deck cannot be discarded immediately.
-
Players can use their cards to add to existing combinations or create new combinations.
-
In addition to the basic rules, there are additional rules in rummy, which may vary depending on the version of the game. Some of these may involve the use of a joker, which can replace any other card.
Сost of cards
Rummy has a fairly simple scoring system. Once the first player finishes the game, all other players count the cards in their hands.
The counting system is very simple:
1) face cards (queen, jack, king) give ten points.
2) all digital cards are equal to their face value (for example, a two is 2 points, a three is three
points).
3) aces - one point or 11 points depending on the position.
4) joker: the number of points depends on the situation and can vary from 1 to 20
Start of the game
The dealer deals one card face down to each player. Dealing is done in a circle, starting
with the player to the left of
the dealer, until each participant receives 13 cards if there are two players.
With three or four participants, seven cards are dealt to each; with five or six - six cards
each.
The remaining cards, i.e. the reserve, are placed in the center of the table.
The top
card
of the reserve is turned face
up and placed next to it. This card serves as the base of the discard pile.
Card combinations allowed by the game conditions:
Sequence
1. Sequence - from three to ten cards of the same suit, laid out in the order of their order. The missing card to form a sequence can be replaced with a joker. For example, here is this option: seven, eight and nine of hearts. Or: ten, jack, joker, king of diamonds. A prerequisite when constructing a sequence: it should be laid out in strict sequence. So, for example, cards laid out in the following order cannot be considered a sequence: four, King and Queen of a club suit or seven, six, Jack and Ace of spades. During the next move, each player has the right to build several combinations. In addition, he is allowed to supplement the compositions of other players with his cards. Let's say a player can add a missing element to the opponent's set (for example, lay out a Jack of Clubs for three Jacks of hearts, diamonds and spades) or supplement the sequence of another player with one or more suitable cards.
Groups
1. Group - at least three cards of the same rank (for example, three Kings, three Queens or three nines). However, a Group may also include four cards.
Scoring at the end of the game
To calculate points, a special table is drawn up, where bonus points or minus points (with a plus or minus sign) are recorded. The number of columns in the table is determined by the number of participants in the game. So, for example, if there are four players playing, then the number of rows in the table should be equal to 4.
The losers give the winner 10 points for each piece remaining in their hands (King, Queen and Jack) and 11 point for each Ace. The remaining results scored by the players are recorded depending on the number of points indicated on the cards. For example, a ten is worth 10 points, a nine is worth 9 points, etc.
The points won are doubled if the player plays a combination of cards in one move.
The cards in your hand have the following values:
Rank card | Cost in points |
---|---|
From 2 to 10 | is equal to rank (2 points, 3 points, ..., 10 points) |
Jack, Queen, King | 10 ponts |
Ace | 11 points |
Joker | 20 points |
Tips for playing rummy
By following these tips and practicing regularly, you can improve your game and become a rummy master in no time.
1. Plan your moves: Before you start playing, take a few minutes to look at your hand and plan your moves. Try to determine which cards you need to make combinations and which ones you can discard.
2. Pay attention to the discard pile: Keep an eye on the cards that other players are discarding, as this can give you an idea of what cards they want and which cards you should not discard.
3. Don't be afraid to discard high value cards: In rummy it is often better to get rid of high value cards such as aces and face cards as they are more difficult to use.
4. Hold Jokers: Jokers can be used to represent any card, so it's best to hold them until you decide which cards you want.
5. Watch other players: Keep an eye on other players and try to predict their moves. If a player is close to winning, try to prevent him from getting the card he needs to end the game.
